Our Story
Hi there! We are Amy and Sean, thanks for taking a look at our story and for getting to know more about us!
We first met at college through the band program in 2007. There was a spark back then, though a very little one, due to Sean being just a young freshman and Amy being close to graduating. Then, we reconnected years later, in 2016, at a work function and realized we were living 15 minutes away from each other!
We had the opportunity to grow closer over the next...
My Talented Wife
When I first met Amy back in college, I was struck by how outgoing, kind, and sociable she was, and the ongoing joke we had about her social network was that she literally knew everyone in the area by six degrees of separation. She loves planning parties and events for her friends and family; she even worked professionally as a caterer and wedding planner for a short period of time while working full-time as a pharmacist.
Speaking of catering, Amy loves to cook! She has had classical training as a chef through a...
My Wonderful Husband
Sean is the perfect example of servant leadership. In his job as a pharmacy manager, he grows and develops his team through guidance and examples. He works hard to make sure the needs of everyone around him are taken care of. He cares for his patients and spends quality time educating them on their medications and finding them the best price possible.
Sean is great at anticipating the needs of those around him and in doing what he can to provide for them. He is kind and helpful to my parents, going out of his...
Our Home
Our home was built in 1940, and has been really well-maintained. Amy purchased the home from its original owner in 2017, and Sean came to live here shortly before their wedding. Together we work hard to try and make an improvement every year, whether it be small or large. We converted part of the basement into a fantastic rec room that sees many game and movie nights with our friends and family. Our 1980s-style kitchen has been remodeled with new countertops and appliances. Amy loves seasonal decorations, and we try to keep our house feeling festive...
Our Family
We are very close with our families. Amy’s parents live fifteen minutes away and we usually see them once or twice a week. Amy’s brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and niece live in New Jersey, and they visit Michigan for the week of July 4th and the week of Thanksgiving. We travel to New Jersey to see them every other year.
Sean’s parents are a two-hour drive away, but we make it a priority to see them every six to eight weeks. Sean’s twin brother lives an hour away and we meet in the...
Traditions, Hobbies, and Interests
Amy has been hosting Thanksgiving for her family since she bought her first house in 2011. When Sean came into the picture, this tradition was extended to also include his family. It has been so wonderful to keep up a yearly tradition of everyone together. Amy’s parents host a Christmas Eve Eve party every December 23rd which is a giant open house for all. Christmas Eve is a quieter tradition. Normally, we spend it with Amy’s parents having a traditional Polish Wigilia after Mass. On Christmas Day, we spend a quiet morning at home and then drive...
Thank You
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us, and our family, home, and traditions. We can only imagine how hard it must be to contemplate this path, and are honored that you took the time to consider us as prospective parents.
As parents, our goal will be to provide a child with a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow their minds and bodies. We are excited to share our passions and are looking forward to helping a child explore and learn about their world so they can discover their own...
